About our MFT Trainee and Internship
Program:

TFCC
Trainee/Internship Schedule Requirements:
§
Ability to work 18 - 20 hrs. per week with
teens and children in a school counseling setting.
§
Must be available for group supervision every
Wednesday from 9:00-11:00 a.m. and until 1:30 p.m. alternate
Wednesdays for clinical training.
§
Additionally, 1 hour of weekly individual
supervision is pre-arranged with assigned supervisor.
Trainee/Intern License
Requirements:
§
Trainees: Must be enrolled in an
accredited Master’s or doctoral program in Counseling
Psychology and have completed a minimum of 12 semester or 18
quarter units. Proof is required and will be verified.
§
Interns: Must be graduates of an
accredited Master’s or doctoral program in Counseling
Psychology and be registered as an Intern with the BBS.
Proof is required and will be verified.
§
Interns and Trainees: Must also
provide proof of their own malpractice insurance.
About Us / School Site locations:
The Teen and
Family Counseling Center has been serving young people and their
families in the south bay area since 1983.
We maintain school-based counseling programs at 16 area schools
in the CUHSD, CUSD, LGSUHSD, and SUSD school districts and also
offer affordable counseling services at our Campbell clinic
based on a sliding scale fee with supervision by experienced,
licensed therapists.
