Teen & Family Counseling Center

Dear friends and supporters,

As a leading provider of mental health services for teens for over 27 years, Teen and Family Counseling Center (TFCC) has been dedicated to helping children, teens, adults and families feel better, interact better and develop healthier skills for a better life.  Despite our growth in recent years, the current state of the economy has forced many local schools to eliminate on-campus counseling. In addition, grant money opportunities have diminished. This situation has resulted in an abrupt 70% decrease in our revenue from contracts and grants.

For the past year the Board has struggled with this new fiscal reality and actively explored a variety of strategic alternatives for the organization. After in-depth consideration of these alternatives and a close examination of the financial realities that currently exist, with great sadness we have come to the harsh realization that it is time to close our doors. However, we are currently working to transition our resources and work to a highly respected nonprofit agency with a similar mission and the same passion to serve children, teens and families.

Over the next few months, we will be working closely with our clients, interns and staff to ensure a smooth transition. On behalf of the Board and staff, we want to thank you again for your support of TFCC throughout the years. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
